This week the brand is Zuzka. A brand that I never heard of before and being based in the UK im more interested in trying unknown and less hyped brands and products.

The company was kind enough to send my three products to try that would be best suited to my current skin type which at the moment is combination oily in parts but with lots of dry flaky patches and very much Acne-Prone.

So a little bit about the brand...
The Company is owned and run by Susan Kohutova who is a qualified beauty specialist and registered medical herbalist who has over 20 years of knowledge of some of the worlds top cosmetic companies. So combining her knowledge and personal experience with sensitive and allergy prone skin she has created product lines around this. She has different product lines highlighting different issues that you could experience with your skin.

 It's safe to say that I have put these three products to the test during the past few weeks...

First up the DERMACARE Mattifying Facial Spritz


Its a therapeutic toning spritz containing soothing Lavender & Witch Hazel (other ingredients include Tea Tree and Camphor) and it certainly feel refreshing whether you spritz it directly onto the skin as a step before and after applying moisturizer. The way I like to apply this is by spraying it onto a cotton pad and swiping it over the face as I feel I can direct the product where I want it to go and which areas of the face need the most Mattifying.

Next DERMACARE Mattifying Concentrated Serum


A concentrated formula containing organic essential oils of Camphor, Lavender & Tea Tree. Which over time will slow down over production of oil on the surface of the skin.

So this one was a bit of a double sided opinion. I would say that its sort of a pre-primer that you use under your daily moisturizer to balance how much oil your surface skin will produce. But due to it being quite a small sample I cannot say that using this for roughly 10 days I couldn't notice a dramatically different appearance to how much oil my skin was producing. But I would be interested in purchasing the full size to see whether it would help with the oil which is a major cause to my ferocious breakouts at the moment.

Finally product number 3! Calamine Calming Mask


A calming pink clay mask containing Calamine Bentonite (a soothing Volcanic ash) & Witch Hazel which reduces redness and people who suffer with problems linked with oily skin, acne, rosacea and pigmentation.

I use this mask as an in-between mask as I use deep poor cleansing masks which really draw out the deep impurities in my skin, which tends to leave my skin feeling quite dry and tight and highlighting my areas of dryness and pigmentation. My skin can also become quite red due to the acne products that I use aside. This mask helped to calm the redness in-between the harsher masks so basically this mask does what it says on the tin and I really enjoy using it!
